I have gotten several different v1.5.1.2 update notifications, and the last one turns my comments on posts into this text:

What's going on?

Edit: I see you changed the way the edit strings parses HTML? It still doesn't parse custom HTML / ahref links tho. It just outputs as text. keep_reading

There was a typo in the version change for 1.5.1.2 which confused the updater. That is all good now.

Do you have screenshots or more info? I can't reproduce. The change makes it possible for a limited amount of HTML to be used in the Edit Strings interface by converting tags to special characters on save, and outputting them back to HTML when rendered to the page.

For the keep_reading string, I tried to edit the text, but kept the same a href code. It seems that when you add code to the box itself (rather than it being the default) it is outputted as normal text not HTML. I literally saw the a href="... code on my page where the link should be.

Just to be clear, you are talking about the "Join the discussion" text that shows at the end of a comments thread?

Here's what I added to the XFtoWP > Edit Strings > keep_reading string:

Enter the conversation: <a href="%s">%2s →</a>

Which resulted in:

Using HTML in Strings

Me again. ;) In the string for reply_count_plural I want to use this: %1$s replies Is there a way to do this? I have certain numbers on my site count up from 0 to their real figure to try to catch the eye of the visitor and would like to do this for that reason.
