Bulk create forum threads for existing posts?

Hi,

Is there a way to bulk create threads for existing posts? Currently opening a WP post, making sure comments are turned on, creating a thread, saving post. Any way to do that in bulk?

Hi Tim,

At this time, no, but that seems to be a popular request lately so I may have to look into it sooner than later. Now that xftowp 1.5 is released and stable with its bulk actions tool, it is possible to program something like this.

What criteria would you expect from such a tool? Mass creating a bunch of forum threads may not look ideal as you'll have a ton of topics in a row with 0 replies.

For me, I am starting with a site that has years of news posts. I am creating a thread for every news post manually, then manually transferring those threads into the forums, or merging with an existing thread discussing the topic.
