I thought I'd take the approach of putting together a very minimalist site. More than a landing page but less than a full blown site. This is as opposed to my usually (probably) over-doing of start-up sites.
I could have went with three links instead of four: home, services and about. Everything else is on the right side. But the design seemed bare without it.
I need to work more benefits into the site and may go with a fifth page.
I'm going to work on promoting this site instead of building up a blog. For now, at least. It is a business site, lets see it get some business before I spend hours upon hours writing free articles.

I enjoy my work immensely. Primarily, I work with small businesses as a consultant. I help my clients to grow their business in terms of the way they market themselves, use and apply their sales systems, and the way they operate their business on a day-to-day basis. I've been doing this for twenty years now and wouldn't want to do anything else.

I Could Use Some Suggestons To Snazz Things Up A Bit
23 July 2012 - 02:17 AM
A designer I'm not, and that's why I'm really happy with MD. I really like the "out of the box" design, but, I'd like to make my website look a little more "pro", and I'm not good at that kind of thing.
My time is a little limited, and I thought I'd ask for suggestions on how to make one particular page look better, rather than the whole site. I'd like to start with that page (in its entirity) and get that fixed up. Then carry those improvements through the site, and then maybe come back for more suggestions.
If you have any suggestions for me, at any level, I'd appreciate it!

Business Consulting Site Using Md2
03 July 2012 - 04:42 AM
This year, I significantly changed the marketing focus of my business. I've been struggling with the design of my new site for six months and never really got it looking the way a consultant's site should. Being that I'm not a website designer and never wanted to be, the trip through using css and php to layout my wordpress site was an overwhelming challenge. Not only am I not a graphic designer, but the matter of having to layout the location and and functionality of the website through programming was a real frustration.
To make a long story short, I came across the MD2 theme and really like it a lot. I was able to use the theme and make the site look and feel nice (in my opinion) with very little customization. Once I bought this theme, I was able to put my new site together in about a week! Furthermore, all of the questions I've had regarding the use of MD were promptly and correctly answered through my posts on the forum.
I would really like to get some feedback from others regarding my new website, be that for content, layout or whatever.
