Still Using Md1 For My Sites

Currently, I'm using MD1 for a site that I'm really passionate about.
I haven't made the switch to MD2 because, honestly, I'm terrified about all of the work that it's going to take to switch over. It probably isn't any serious amount of work at all, and likely I've just built it up in my head haha

Thanks for making this a part of your forums Alex. I'm going to begin work on a few other sites soon, and although I've never used anything other than MD1, I can't wait to try your other themes.

Hey Brendan,
I think the best way to approach this (if you wanted to upgrade) would to create a test site and start working on it from there. That way, you don't do any harm to your live site. It really isn't a tough thing. MD2+Thesis take care of most of the work anyway!
Believe me, MD2 is a huge improvement over 1, and I think you'd be more satisfied with how the site looks.
But, I still think your site looks great, you made all those customizations yourself?

I think that's a good idea Alex. I wonder how many readers I would lose if it took a week or so to work out the functionality. Even if I lose readership, I bet it would be worth it in the long run because I would gain a lot.
As far as customizations, I don't think I really did any =o) I did learn how to link images to pages, and to use widgets available.
But I'm a big fan of yours, DIY Themes, Derek Halpern, Pat Flynn, Jo Archibald, and a whole slew of others that have really helped me put together this site.
It's still super basic as I don't understand css or any of that stuff at all.
