I like the layout of marketers delight, but do I have to buy thesis and marketers delight to get that look or just marketers delight?

To use Marketer's Delight, yes you must have Thesis. Marketer's Delight is not a stand-alone theme. It simply "skins" (customizes) Thesis.

ok. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to wordpress themes & "skins".

Both Thesis and MD2 have great installation instructions that you can follow. What's even better is the support community for both. Here at Kolakube, support is pretty much the biggest part of our business. So we'll definitely take care of you here. The great thing is that we model after the Thesis support forums which set the standard in this industry. So, you'll be well taken care of there too.
