I am interested in purchasing MD2 but have these questions
I sell books and services so would this be a good theme to use?
Can I see examples of this theme from a person that sells a service?
Is this theme now responsive?
I am scared of losing PR or losing indexed posts when switching as I have accumulated a lot of content that are in 2 rows of NAV menus.
If this is an appropriate theme for me, would installing and switching all this data be a hassle? Do you think I can do it myself or should I hire someone so I don't mess it up?

Hey, Rose! First of all, thanks a ton for your interest. You won't be disappointed. 
This would definitely be a great theme for selling books. MD2 is designed to help you market anything from en email newsletter to books. We even have a member using it to sell strollers.
Here's one of my favorite MD2 installs from a customer who provides various web related services. SEO Maverick
Yes, MD2 is now responsive. You also have the option to turn the responsiveness off at any time.
I do feel like your nav menus can fit into the header and navigation menus built into MD2. It may be a tight squeeze because of the text you're currently using for your links. But that's a great challenge to face. Not only will it force you to be more clear and concise with your nav links (that's definitely a good thing), it will also give you the opportunity pull certain links to the side and highlight them in other ways instead of the menu (in the event your links don't all fit).
Because you're already using Thesis, installation will not be hard at all. We have instructions to guide you through the process. However, I go as far as installing the skin for customers on a daily basis. So, when you make the purchase, that's actually where the real value starts. We won't leave you hanging.
